The company began in Sweden in 1968. When Leif Gustafsson, founder, began catering to the European race circuit.  He began to diversify as the use of fairings on street bikes became popular.

Currently, GP Cycleworks, (Fairing Screen Gustafsson®/Gustafsson Plastics) manufactures over 2,500 models of aftermarket fairing screens.  In 1979 a branch of the company opened in the United States. Today, our line of quality products ranges from race bike and street bike fairing screens to race boat and pleasure boat windshields. We specialize in quality custom work.

In 2024, we acquired over 4,000 fiberglass bodywork molds from Airtech Streamlining.

How do we make it?

  • Starting With Quality Raw Material - UV Resistant Acrylic
  • Processed Through a Tried and Tested Technique
  • Tested, Polished, Shipped

Our products are preformed, cut, and polished.  With finished edges, they are ready to install with minimum effort using our thorough installation instructions. The material we use is a high grade Acrylic G that is completely weather resistant.  Designed for boats, it is UV and even salt water resistant.  Combined with our refined crafting technique, this makes a very optically correct screen. Our screens are by far the best available for Motorcycles.

Molds. Patterns. Forms. Jigs. Tools. Machinery. Every step of the process has been tweaked, refined, and perfected.  Once a tool, machine, or technique has been perfected, we don't change it.

We Supply Manufacturers of All Sizes

Manufacturing for Buell in the early 2000's, we realized we weren't cut out for mass-production. So we turned our course back to the consumer, along with small to mid-level distributors. We continue to supply large fairing manufacturers with windshields. All the while providing support to smaller manufacturers by giving them a reliable, quality product to package with theirs.


Museum Quality

The reliance on our products does not end with fairing manufacturers.  A trip out to Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, Alabama, USA will show you one example of this.  Our screens sent to Barber are no different than the ones we manufacture everyday.  Every recipient of a Gustafsson motorcycle part is rewarded with the same expertise - the same care.
