In ’93 Vance & Hines crew chief Jim Leonard asked Kent Riches to give them a little advantage. “Modify the stock fairings and make them better…” How could Kent resist? The upper and lower were cut and narrowed and the windscreen lowered. The redesign came out great and resulted in a little more speed on the top end…Hell that could have been from the airbox Kent designed, or maybe the redesigned fuel tank that allowed Jamie and Tom to get under the windscreen.

Yamaha YZF 750 WSB Super sport lower fairing – belly pan with oil containment
The lower was narrowed and cut to match the upper, the radiator area was narrowed and the front edge wrapped in. Then the the belly pan was filled in and Kent stuck a trick looking YZR500 wing down by the rear tire.
