TZ250 H&J '96-'97
There had been many design incarnations for the TZ 250 up to the point. The ’96-’97 is the thirteenth body design. It’s also the fifth redesign for the V-Twin racers.
Pictured is the Airtech two-piece front fairing, which splits near the base gasket of the cylinders. The upper itself has a rounded bullet-like shape to it; the handcuff areas have been pulled back and the windscreen ears enlarged. A NACA duct in the front of the fairing reduces windscreen buffeting.
Yamaha also moved the air intake forward to the very leading edge of the upper fairing. The lower has some subtle design changes compared to the previous model. For example, the leading edge is more round and the belly pan is fuller near the rear tire.
Unchanged from ’94 though, is the seat section. We also offer an aero style seat resembling an Aprilia because it comes to a point at the back. A draft shield underneath helps seal off the tail section to prevent turbulent air swirling around the rear tire this increases the cooling efficiency.
Front and rear fenders are available, as is a pressurized air box. Trust us when we tell you we have some things that will help you get your TZ to the front of the pack.
TZ25H6 - 96/97 TZ250H AIRBOX FRONT & REAR
Yamaha TZ250 Air box assembly
This is a kit air box assembly for your TZ 250. There is no secret that ram air boxes generate more horsepower. It is also no secret that all of the racers, who are running up front and winning, are using these air boxes. If you don’t have an air box on your TZ then you’re probably not winning, and this may be the reason why. You must trim the inside of your fairing assembly to make this kit air box work; so we can say that there is some trimming, fitting, and you need an overall real good idea of carburetor jetting to make this air box work. Once you get it dialed in it is well worth the effort. Get yours today!
TZ25H5 - 96/97 TZ250H INTAKE DUCT
Yamaha TZ250 Air intake duct
This is the duct that routs air from the front of the fairing down the left side of the motorcycle, over the radiator, and into the frame assembly by your knees. This is direct replacement piece for the TZ 250 air duct. It is sold in fiberglass, but it is also available in carbon fiber. Call our sales reps for a price today!
TZ25H4 - 96/97 TZ250H FRONT FENDER

AT26 - AIR TECH TZ250 REAR FENDER
Yamaha TZ250 Rear swing arm fender
This fiberglass piece attaches to the swing arm and prevents dirt and other crap from being thrown onto the shock absorber, while it also helps control the turbulent air that is generated from the rear tire. This piece controls that air and allows engine and radiator air to escape out of the rear of the motorcycle. As you can see, we sell this piece in fiberglass but it is also available in lightweight carbon fiber. Call our sales reps for a price today!

TZAS1 - TZ250D AERO SEAT "EDWARDS,ATTACK"
Yamaha TZ250 Race Tail
This was originally designed in 1993 for use on Chris Delussio and Collin Edwards race bikes. This tail section is a cool anti draft, pinch tail design. You will see this tail used at Daytona, Road America, and even Bonneville. Places where high speed and low drag is a necessity.
AT24 - AIR TECH TZ250 DRAFT SHIELD
Yamaha TZ250 Tail section
This here is a panel that attaches to bottom of our AT23 race tail. This panel cleans up the under side of the tail section and helps to control the parasitical drag and turbulent air that is generated from the rear tire. This piece definitely works!
AT23 - AIR TECH TZ250 TAIL SECTION
Yamaha TZ250 Tail section
Owner and designer Kent Riches came up with a real winner when he designed this one-piece race tail. Road racer Roland Sands became a winner using this tail section. That’s right, Roland Sands won the 1996 AMA 250 championship using this tail section that Kent Riches designed. This sleek, aerodynamic, pumpkin seed shaped tail section really helps close up the air in the back of your little TZ 250. This tail section is a must have for high-speed tracks like Daytona and Road America. Even Bonneville guys love the shape of this tail section.
