TZ250 B '91
This is the ninth body design for the venerable TZ line, but who’s counting? Okay, we are. In any case, this is the first year of the V-twin 250. The 91′ season featured some spectacularly hot racing in the WERA AirTech Formula 2 Series. Fine racers and warped-throttle-lunatics alike swapped paint with each other. Donny Green, Kenny Roberts Jr., Alan Scott, and Kurt Hall were just a few of the riders involved. Green prevailed however, and walked away with the AirTech Series. We are proud of the fact that we sponsored most of the professional racers in this 250 arena that season.

TZADS1 - TZ MONOSHOCK ANTI DRAFT TAIL

Additionally, we have the TZ250 anti-draft seat originally designed by Floyd Emde, which was a factory test option in the late 70’s and early 80’s. These are super rare pieces and we believe that Airtech is the only company in the world reproducing this fine old TZ part. Damn, are we good, or what?

TZ250B5 - 91 TZ250B ANTI-DRAFT SHIELD

Our anti-draft shield fits on the bottom of the seat and settles turbulence below the seat while aiding in closing the pocket behind the rider at speed.

The odd seat assembly Yamaha uses for this machine is actually bolted to the frame rather than the subsection; it is the only model on which Yamaha did this.

TZ250B2 - 91 TZ250B LOWER

It is unusual for Yamaha bodywork to split horizontally at the base gasket of the cylinders, but the upper and lower on this assembly do just that. The upper has an air intake duct on the leading edge; the lower also has intakes to cool the clutch and ignition cover.
