SUZUKI GSXR 750 '85 CANADIAN / EURO / ASIAN / AUSTRALIAN
Pictured with its American counterparts is our ravishing Canadian vix– er, version of the Suzuki GSXR 750 bodywork.
The Canadian/european 1st generation GSXR750 differs from the American version in several ways. To begin with, there is a small air intake duct on each center panel in front of the radiator. Three cool looking exhaust vents are cut into the back of both center side pieces. The upper fairing is slightly wider than the American version and attaches to the center panels with three bolts rather than two. The return under the headlight is also extended and uses only one bolt to mount rather than two like the
US unit.
So, Airtech has a stock upper, right and left center sides and a two piece lower. Save some weight over the stock pieces and make your bike look mega-trick. Call us.
Need a seat? Not only do we offer the a one-piece tail section that replaces the stock three-piece, we also offer it with a solo seat cowl molded into it for that race look. How about an ’86 GSXR Limited edition race seat? No problem, we’ve got what you need!
We’ve figured out a parts combo you can use to build an XR41 replica out of a 1st gen GSXR750. You will have to make or modify your own fairing brackets.
The original XR41 shown above…
and this is the replica.
You use a Hammer half fairing and cut the lower flange off. The Hammer upper will now mate up with a set of ’85 (euro/Canadian) GSXR lower fairings. A little more trimming at the back edge to even them up.
The bottom fairings may interfere with the exhaust headers so you may have to trim around it or do a bit of glass work in that area.
MORI1M - MORIWAKI SUZUKI SEAT - MODIFIED
Suzuki GSXR 750 Moriwaki tail section
This is a modified Moriwaki tail section to suit the first gen GSXR750. The seat pan is a little longer, the back section a little shorter and the number plates a little smaller than the original Moriwaki seat. The back of the tail is scribed for a 86-87 GSXR750 taillight, and a taillight bracket is available below.
You will need to make a support bracket underneath the seat pan to raise the tail section off the seat rails and support the rider’s weight.
Overall length: 27.5″
Seat pan lenght: 12″
Width front: 7.5″
Widest point: 12″ (seat) 13″ (numberplates).
Longer seat pan, shorter rear section, smaller number plates.
